-
The Utah School Public Relations Association (USPRA) is a knowledge-based organization seeking to serve, motivate and educate school administrators and staff, postsecondary officials, school foundation executives and boards of education about the importance of school public relations. It is the state chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). USPRA builds communications expertise while serving as a resource for your school or district.
-
It is important for organizations to market their programs and successes and to quickly respond to problems that can impact the public’s support of them. USPRA provides professional development, technical assistance; best practices and templates to ensure its members and their organizations are successful in all of their communication efforts. USPRA members are always willing to help each other whether you need assistance on a project or if you just have a quick question.
-
USPRA is especially important for schools that do not have a designation communications person or PIO on staff. At each meeting, expert presenters and fellow USPRA members will share the latest information about how to brand your school, stay ahead of the media and spot the latest PR trends.
-
USPRA meets at least nine times a year. Those meetings are published on our online calendar. At each meeting, members benefit from professional development, tactical strategies and collaboration opportunities to help them stay abreast of school public relations trends, be better prepared for challenging events, and learn from best practices in communications and public engagement.
-
In addition to improving member organizations' communications' efforts, a membership in USPRA qualifies members for free assistance from school public relations experts during times of disaster or extraordinary media attention. Whether USPRA members need direct, boots-on-the-ground assistance, or need a quick telephone consultation with proven school public relations experts, fellow USPRA members are committed to helping one another.
